CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 (Required) is a powerful centralized print manager & print counter that help automate and simplify the administration of printing for Windows print-server printing environments, remote IP printing environments (users send the print jobs to the printer directly via the IP address of the printer) and local printing environment (users send the print jobs to the printer that is connected to their workstations locally). It is an easy to use print management software that allows you to manage, control and count printing sent from Windows / Linux / Unix / Mac OS clients, log and audit printing activity, analyze and monitor printing costs, charge the print jobs by entering the billing code, confirm and authenticate printing on the workstation before they actually print, eliminate wasted paper and reduce printer maintenance time. It can be installed on either a print-server computer or a non-print-server computer. CZ Print Job Tracker supports the following languages: English / French / Portuguese / Hungarian / Japanese / Chinese. CZ Print Job Report (Optional Add-on) allows you to generate and view 94 reports including 54 default reports and 40 customized reports, and export these reports to Adobe-PDF, MS-Word, MS-Excel and Rich Text formats. These reports are designed for your print cost analysis, and written in English by default, but can be easily translated to any language such as French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish etc. by translating some strings which takes just a few minutes. It can be installed on any computer on which reports are generated and viewed. CZ Print Job Agent (Optional Add-on) allows you to confirm or authenticate print jobs on the workstation (Windows, Mac OSX / Classic, or Linux client) before they actually print, bill the print jobs by entering a client code or project code, and track the print jobs on the workstation-connected-printers or the printers themselves in a non-print server printing environment (Users send the print jobs to the printer directly via the IP address of the printer, instead of to the shared printer on the print server). This software must be installed on the workstations that require the above features. CZ Remote Account Manager (Optional Add-on) allows you to add / edit users / shared # / client code / project code, update account balance / quota / group / pin remotely from any computer. |

CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 can track and control printing for the following types of printers:
You have three options to install CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 depending on your printing environment and your requirements. You can also combine the three options to track, control and bill the print jobs. Option 1: Install CZ Print Job Tracker on your Windows print server computer (Recommended) If you install CZ Print Job Tracker on a print server computer, it can track not only the printers on the local print server, but also the printers on the other print servers. Option 2: Install CZ Print Job Tracker on a central non-print-server computer If you already have print servers on your network, you can simply add the shared printers onto those print servers (e.g. \\print_server\printer_shared_name) to the computer where CZ Print Job Tracker is installed, and you will be able to track and control all the print jobs sent to these network printers from workstations. To add the network printers to the CZ Print Job Tracker computer, you can follow the "Add Printer Wizard" and select "Network Printer". After the printers have been added, you can then click the refresh button and add these network printers from the list of available printers to the list of monitored printers in the menu item Print Jobs-->Preferences-->Printers of CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0. Option 3: Install CZ Print Job Tracker on a central computer (or print server computer) and install CZ Print Job Agent on the workstations as needed in the following five scenarios. For detail instructions and examples, please refer to the Quick Start Guide. The option "Enable agent communication" needs to be checked in the menu item Print Jobs-->Preferences-->Advanced of CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0. Scenario 1: The workstations print to not only the printers on the print server, but also send print jobs to the printers directly via the IP address of the printers. Or You don't have print servers on your network, and all workstations send print jobs to the printers directly via the IP address of the printers. In this scenario, CZ Print Job Agent needs to be installed on the workstations (Windows computer) that send print jobs to the printers directly via the IP address. In CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 menu item "Preferences --> Advanced," the option "Track direct IP printer and workstation connected printer" must be checked. Scenario 2: You want to track and log the print jobs sent to the printers that are connected to the workstations locally. In this scenario, CZ Print Job Agent needs to be installed on only those workstations (Windows computer) with printers locally connected. In CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 menu item "Preferences --> Advanced," the option "Track direct IP printer and workstation connected printer" must be checked. Scenario 3: You want to enter project code or client billing code before the print jobs actually print in order to bill back your clients. In this scenario, the option "Enable Print Job authentication or client billing" must be checked and "Client # / Shared #" must be selected in CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 menu item "Preferences --> Advanced". CZ Print Job Agent needs to be installed on the workstations (Windows, Mac OSX / Classic, or Linux client computer) that require the entering of a code before the print jobs will print. Scenario 4: You want users to be able to confirm or cancel the print jobs before the print jobs will print. In this scenario, the option "Popup confirmation on the workstation when a print job is submitted" must be checked. CZ Print Job Agent needs to be installed on the workstations (Windows, Mac OSX / Classic, or Linux client computer) that require the confirmation before the print jobs will print. Scenario 5: You require users to enter PIN before the print jobs will print. In this scenario, the option "Enable Print Job authentication or client billing" must be checked, "Print Job Owner" and "Require PIN" must be selected in CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 menu item "Preferences --> Advanced". CZ Print Job Agent needs to be installed on the workstations (Windows, Mac OSX / Classic, or Linux client computer) that require the entering of a PIN before the print jobs will print. Scenario 6: You require users to enter user account / PIN before the print jobs will print. In this scenario, the option "Enable Print Job authentication or client billing" must be checked and "Another User" must be selected in CZ Print Job Tracker 7.0 menu item "Preferences --> Advanced". CZ Print Job Agent needs to be installed on the workstations (Windows, Mac OSX / Classic, or Linux client computer) that require the entering of a user id and a PIN before the print jobs will print. This scenario is also applied to environments where all users use the same login account, and you want to be able to identify the print job owner. |
